Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a separate membership fee?
No. Your stay package is your membership. There's no additional annual fee — you pay for your stay, and your Founders Club benefits come with it.
Do I need my group confirmed before I join?
Not at all. Many members secure their spot first and sort the group and dates afterward. The spot is what's limited.
Do I need to choose my dates now?
No. You can lock in dates now or hold your priority status and choose later — The Kaizen concierge team will help either way.
How many people can stay?
Up to 8 guests — 3 bedrooms plus a sofa bed. The entire property is reserved exclusively for your group.
Is my Founders Club purchase refundable?
No. Founders Club purchases are final and non-refundable from the date of purchase, even if you have not yet selected your stay dates.
Membership and annual stay availability are intentionally limited, so your purchase represents a firm commitment to your Founders Club stay.
If your plans change after reserving dates, you may request to transfer the reservation or ask Kaizen to attempt to rebook it, subject to the Founders Club Membership Terms.
What does the price include?
Lodging, cleaning fees, and taxes are all included. Nothing added at checkout.
What happens after my stay?
You'll have the option to continue your membership by reserving your next annual visit at the current Founders rate, before dates open to anyone else.
What if I do not continue?
Your membership benefits lapse, and your spot may be offered to someone on the waitlist. Public bookings may still be available, subject to availability and public pricing.
Will Founding Members receive access to future Kaizen properties?
Yes. As new destinations launch — we're working toward Austin, Naples, Scottsdale, and the Catskills — Founding Members get early access before public booking opens.
What does priority annual access mean?
Founding Members get first access to select their annual stay dates before remaining dates are released to the public.
Is my annual stay guaranteed?
Yes. Your membership includes one annual stay, subject to selecting from available dates during the Founders priority-booking period.
How does the 44% discount work?
Each year, Founding Members receive one stay at a significant discount off the public lodging rate for the same dates and length of stay.
Which dates are available to Founding Members?
Founding Members choose from available dates during the exclusive priority-booking period, before those dates are opened to the public. You do not need to choose your dates when you join. Our concierge will work with you on the best dates for you and lock them down for you.
Can I change or transfer my dates?
Yes. If your plans change, our concierge will work with you to move your stay to another available date, subject to availability.
Can the public comparison rate change?
Yes. Public rates may change based on season, demand and market conditions.
Is my Founding Membership transferable?
Yes. You may gift or transfer your Founding Membership position, subject to approval by Kaizen. Your earlier Founders materials specifically contemplated selling or gifting the membership position.
Am I obligated to renew every year?
No. There is no obligation to renew. Each year you will have the first opportunity to continue your Founding Membership, at the then-current rate, before your position is made available to someone else.
